The Flower Region
The Flower Region is an area in Western Netherlands of a few municipalities where beautiful flower fields can be found. There is plenty to do in the Flower Region, it is the perfect getaway during spring!
Tulip Festival
The Flower Region is home to one of the most popular crowd-pullers in the Netherlands, the Tulip Festival in Lisse. Lovers of flowers come to Holland from all over the world to admire the blooming flowers. It is located about half an hour drive from our hotel. Cycling through the Flower Region
Do you fancy a sporting activity? You can enjoy cycling through the Flower Region! Take beautiful tours through the nicest villages such as Warmond, Noordwijkerhout, Lisse and Hillegom. In the spring you will see the most colorful tulip fields. Along the way you will come across various flower stalls with flowers fresh from the field. Here you will buy the most beautiful bunches of tulips. West of the Flower Region, the flower fields turn into the North Sea Dunes. You can also enjoy cycling here. The coastal towns such as Noordwijk and Katwijk bustle with fun boulevards and cozy terraces.
Events in the Flower Region
Besides the Tulip Festival, the Flower Region has more diverse events that are fun for young and old. For example, visit the annual flower parade, follow the tulip route in the area or pick your own tulips in the tulip picking garden. Also take a look at one of the beaches near the Flower Region or visit one of the many markets, including the plant market and the Ibiza Festival market.
