Sights 

The sights in The Hague are all worth for a visit. Visit the Binnenhof and enter the heart of our democracy by stepping through the famous entrance gate. Climb the stairs of the Ridderzaal, visit the famous Torentje or take pictures of the beautiful Hofvijver. A visit to Noordeinde Palace and the Peace Palace should not be skipped during your day in The Hague. The miniature city of Madurodam is highly recommended for the younger ones among us. Do you rather prefer sun, sea and sand? Then pay a visit to the beach of Scheveningen, with her Pier and boulevard. The Hague offers something for everyone! 

Art & culture 

When it comes to art and culture in The Hague, the possibilities are endless. The Mauritshuis houses world-famous works of art, including Girl with a Pearl Earring and The Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Nicholas Tulp. The Kunstmuseum The Hague has an extensive collection of modern art and crafts. Panorama Mesdag is a unique concept in the Netherlands: a cylindrical panorama painting with a circumference of 120 meters, in which you can stand in the middle of the art. For the science enthusiasts among us, the Museon is a must-see: here you can find the most diverse and unique collections in the field of geology, biology and technology. 

Shopping 

The Hague is a perfect city for shopping. The Spuistraat is one of the oldest and nicest shopping streets in the city. The Spuistraat is perpendicular to the Grote Marktstraat, where shops such as Bershka, Decathlon and the Bijenkorf can be found. Be sure to walk through the Passage, a beautiful indoor shopping centre with luxury and specialty shops. In the recently opened Westfield Mall of the Netherlands in the nearby city of Leidschendam, you will find a wide range of shops and restaurants. 

Food & drinks 

Taste the most delicious dishes from all over the world in the Foodhallen, go for Vietnamese food at Little V or treat yourself to the delicious sushi of De Sushimeisjes. Whatever you fancy, in The Hague there's a fitting restaurant for everyone! Otherwise experience our beautifull restaurant on the way back home to the hotel.  

Accessibility  

The Hague is perfectly accessible from Van der Valk Hotel Delft. Go by car, and you will be in the centre of the city in 15 minutes. By public transport it will take you about 40 minutes to reach The Hague Central Station.
